What this is

Wherefrom is a Chrome extension for x.com and pro.x.com. It reads the public About this account fields (Connected via and account based in) and shows a flag or short badge next to handles. It is not an X product.

What stays on your computer

Nothing from Wherefrom goes to Tweedelette servers.

• The highlight words you type, and whether outlines are on, live in Chrome sync on your devices.
• A local cache of handles and Connected via / based-in text lives on that computer for about a week so badges can come back without asking X again.
• If X tells us to slow down, we store a pause time on that computer.

What we never get

We do not get your X password, DMs, or timeline. We do not sell data, run ads, or stick tracking pixels on the page. We do not change how X loads the page.

Talking to X

While you are logged into X, Wherefrom asks X for About this account on handles you scroll past. That uses your normal X session in the page. Those calls go to X, not to us.

Your choices
